In the autumn of 2016, Yuriy Luzhkov announced his plans of growing edible mushrooms. The agricultural complex has since then built up its production capacity, which is required to boost the yield. The oyster mushrooms are supplied to grocery stores of Kaliningrad Region: fresh, fried and powdered to serve as a spice; the line will be expanded with mushroom preservatives.
Oyster mushrooms are truly royal mushrooms, second best in terms of their beneficiary properties to porcini mushrooms. They contain a complex of vitamins, minerals, amino-acids and cellular tissue. 70% of the nitrogenous matter in oyster mushrooms are proteins. That is why this product could be called “mushroom meat”.
