Ex-Mayor of Moscow, now farmer Yuriy Luzhkov has reported on the results of the harvesting campaign at his Weedern agricultural complex located in Kaliningrad Region. “We have successfully completed harvesting, despite weather conditions. The total volume of cropped cereals amounts to more than 10,000 tons of grains from 3700 ha we’ve used this year. Some types of cereal crops have yielded more than the average in Russia,” Luzhkov said.
Weedern, the farm located in Kaliningrad Region and owned by the former Mayor of Moscow Yuriy Luzhkov, has launched production of cheeses under the general brand name of ‘Medovie Luzhki’.
Buckwheat produced by Yuriy Luzhkov’s private Farm Weedern will be sold under the “Medovie Luzhki” brand name.
On January 11, Yuriy Luzhkov announced that his agricultural enterprise Weedern is capable of satisfying up to 66% of Kaliningrad Oblast’s demand for buckwheat. “It was a zero three years back,” says Luzhkov. “30% last year, and 66% today. God send, we will reach 100%”.
As a part of his business trip to Ozersk on January 1, Interim Governor Anton Alikhanov visited Weedern together with several members of the local government.
